Tiring but fun. Barely beat it on the first try. Superb idea, music, overall execution. Top notch work!

A very nice twist on the whole genre, much fun

I'm pretty disappointed.

Some negative things:

First of all I hate being timed. Health doesn't matter since you run out of time quicker. I think in arena your primary goal should be survival and round should end when you die.

Secondly, double jump is gone. I feel like nimble agility present in previous games is replaced by a floaty moon jump. Landing on platforms is so much harder now.

Thirdly, infinite ammo strips all challenge from the enemies. Might as well have no foes and just wander around and find items and have a similar experience.

Finally, not to be shallow, but no medals - no real incentive to play.

Now the positive:

Customization was improved from the previous game. I loved the freedom to choose colors and actually see all the variations instead of cycling through one-by-one.

Overall, I guess I was too spoiled by TTA3. That game was pure brilliance, totally fun and gave complete freedom in terms of game mode customization and in ways of dispatching enemies and in traversing through the arena.

This game, on the other hand, feels far too linear, involves a lot of trial-and-error to figure out where all the discs/parts/etc are, all while mindlessly holding down the left button to endlessly spew bullets unto squishy walking potato-bags enemies, and wrestling with sub-par platforming mechanics.

Sorry if I'm being harsh, but that's only because I know you can do better.

Noticed the island's name is Gaiden backwards.
Anyway great game. Wish jumping had somersaults and was a little more controllable in the air. Also it would be nice if special weapons like dynamite could run out, because it's very hard to kill anyone with it. Perhaps bind a third button as a special weapon, whilst still having access to the sword via regular attack button.
Good job!

Topnotch. Reminded me of 999.

I knew this wasn't real as soon as I saw lack of medals and an upgradable perk "Scream".

A superb game. I haven't had this much fun since Madness Interactive. The Arena mode is great and I'm glad you added a level up system for replay value. Story mode is great too, though I wish I had a mini map or an arrow to point me towards the objective sometimes. Weapons were satisfying. One thing you can do is add dual wielding pistols and smgs when dexterity is maxed out to make the variety of guns even bigger. Maybe even make it possible to wield different pistols in each hand- that would be insanely cool. Music was nice and varied, so it never became boring. Lag is an issue, but in the first couple of waves and without mercs it's totally smooth gameplay. I'm guessing the lag is caused by the hired and just the amount of guns. Good luck solving that and awesome job so far!

Very nice game. Cutscenes, humor, design are all great. But the controls are horrid. Consider changing or at least having in the options WASD that moves the craft and mouse that aims. That would make aim much easier and gameplay- more intense. Half of the time I ended up circling around enemies. Ruins the flow

Just as repetitive as the previous

You seem to only be focused on improving visuals, which are really good now, but the gameplay is still boring and empty. Enemies vary only in increased hp. Knife throwing and defending seem useless. Defense boost last an entire fight. I upgraded power/resistance/accuracy and by act 3 foes did no damage. That's a sign of unbalanced and potentially gamebreaking combat system.

I was unable to complete the game because Act 4 wouldn't open fully. Couldn't progress farther than the blue-flame-head. The other fighters remained unknown.

I played this and the previous ones that you made only because of the numerous medals. While they do add initial appeal, it'd still be very beneficial to improve the gameplay. Otherwise you'll never get higher than score of 4.00. Good luck with you inevitable sequel :)

Very fun

I really enjoy games like Diablo where putting things into inventory can involve a bit of Tetris skills. Anyway the game had funny dialog, stimulating gameplay and unique idea. Good job. If you are planning on making a sequel perhaps you should consider doing a different era, so that the items will be different than in this game.
